Favorite track: Side A.

TemazroS Multi-instrumentalist 𝐃𝐚𝐧 𝐁𝐨𝐮𝐬𝐞   dishes up the hideous brand of black metal that seperates the diehards from the wimps. There's nothing even remotely accessible here. And at times the pulsing disarray of blackening drone gets downright dirty. Elaborate yet never boring, these pulsating reverberations explore several shades of unlight, through which 𝐗𝐨𝐭𝐡𝐢𝐬𝐭   moves like a hidden predator.
Boris von Boris

Boris von Boris Suffocating and bleak. It's like Ildjarn and Moëvöt had a demented, deformed baby. Favorite track: Side A.

Choco Latte Xothist lull you in, and then they bury you alive. I love the way they layer everything with disorienting vocals, buzz saw guitars, mechanical sounds, and pounding drums. Favorite track: Side B.

Grimmrobe One of the best black metal bands to emerge from the voided womb. Favorite track: Side A.

about

Harrowing and disorienting ambient black metal.

Originally released in 2011 to 46 copies on cassette by BLEAK ENVIRONMENT, the debut offering from XOTHIST showcases mechanical black ambient that appears to draw influence from acts such as DARKSPACE and XASTHUR, while creating a feel that is completely unique unto itself.

Re-mastered in 2012 by Xothist specifically for this release. Limited to 330 copies. Copies come with patches until they don't.
